Echo

Solo Exhibition, Hazira, Jerusalem, 2021

“Echo” deflects an artificial ecosystem, a place for dwelling and reflecting. The installation is constructed using fundamental elements: light, shade, color, and reflection. Together, they form a kind of circle game of matter and behavior, taking place onstage with the audience’s own participation. The guests are drawn to blend with the space, test it, and influence it. The audience then generates a secret show, one of parallel stages and layers.

The setting for this transformative work is a theater hall, originally designed as a movie theater. “Echo” reimagines it, turning it into a unique gallery space. The three distinct functions this hall has served over time- theater, cinema, and now gallery – all converge in a final manifestation of reflections. And echoes.
