The upbringing of Yasmin Steinmetz (from the village of Klil in the Galilee) and Arava Assaf (from Kibbutz Einat in the Sharon) was deeply influenced by these tales, which now form the core of our exhibition. Through their art, Yasmin and Arava delve into the primal layer of childhood memories, often hidden beneath the surface of our daily lives, and bring it to light.

Yasmin’s art delicately straddles the line between the familiar and the wild, capturing the intrusion of the untamed into our comfortable lives. Arava’s work portrays her own image facing the dangers and horrors that lurk in the wild.
